Dr. Nusrat Jabeen is a Computer Science educator, researcher, and academic leader with over 21 years of teaching experience in higher education. She currently serves as Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Daffodil International University, having joined on 11 June 2026. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science, an M.Phil. in Computer Science, and postgraduate and undergraduate qualifications in the same field.
Her teaching experience spans programming, cybersecurity, networking, artificial intelligence, mobile computing, data mining, Internet of Things, image processing, and related areas. She has worked in academic leadership roles including Head of Department and Principal, and she has extensive experience in curriculum development, student mentoring, laboratory instruction, academic coordination, and quality teaching delivery.
Dr. Jabeen has authored a textbook titled A Text Book on Software Engineering and has published numerous research papers in areas such as blockchain, cybersecurity, privacy-preserving data mining, deep learning, smart transport systems, and image recognition. Beyond her teaching and research, she possesses a comprehensive track record in academic governance and university examinations, having served as an Internal Verifier (Pearson BTEC), External Examiner, and Question Paper Setter and Evaluator for several universities. She remains deeply committed to fostering innovation, a robust research culture, and industry-relevant computing education.
